Critical Literacy (116-19B)

The course explores the nature of literacy, critical literacy, and its practice in language learning and teaching either from the perspectives of socio-cultural practice, multiliteracies, multimodal, and/or other multiple contexts. This course provides an understanding on how to get all possible meanings of variety of oral, audio, visual, spatial, gestural, and written texts in an active, reflective manner to make sense of reality, understand attitudes, values, power relation, and beliefs.
