Current Issues and Policies in Education (120-21 A)

The course aims to develop students' horizons, global knowledge, and critical thinking skills regarding global issues and current policies in education. References are from reputable publications, whether in the form of journals, proceedings, books, or in the form of films, videos, etc. Lectures are designed by adopting an inquiry, problem-based and case-based learning approach. Students independently and in groups explore various issues and solve cutting-edge cases in the field of education that spark global and/or national attention. Midterm exams will be conducted in the form of debate on burning issues in education. As for final exams, students in group are to submit an article on a current issue and/or a global case in education and present it at a seminar attended by lecturers and students from different batches.
